Meet the Artists

Carolina Dalmas

Carolina Dalmas’ artistic journey began when she was enrolled in a youth art academy, where she developed a strong foundation in visual arts and a passion for drawing and painting across all mediums. Eventually, Carolina set aside her art career to pursue higher education, earning an undergraduate degree in biochemistry with a post graduate degree in medical analysis and food science. Later, she left her scientific path and returned to painting.

“The inspiration for my works comes from nature, especially flowers,” says Carolina. Growing up in a small town in Argentina, as well as gardening with her mom, shaped her love for the natural world at an early age. “The elements of design are best depicted by nature through flowers. They show us a great variety of shapes, textures, tones, and amazing colors.”

Carolina works in acrylic and pastel, her favorite mediums. “I like the freshness of pastels because it helps keep my work light and simple,” she explains. Her work, easily distinguished by dynamic colors and a contemporary realism style, captures the textures and vibrant hues of the world around her.

Linda Dellandre

Although she always had a love for painting and drawing, Linda Dellandre’s art career did not begin until her mid-40s. Unsure that an art career would support her, Linda studied to become a registered nurse. While working as a nurse and raising three sons with her husband, she took nighttime art classes, where she became enamored with the landscape painters of the American West.

“When our family took a camping trip to the West… the sweeping skies, mountain ranges, and colorful vistas beckoned me to paint them,” she explains. Linda is primarily a landscape painter, working both in studio and en plein air from life. “I try to communicate to the viewer the beauty of life, the awesome landscape, or just how light bounces off everyday objects and makes a design that is emotionally interesting,” she says. “I love the challenge of capturing those moments when shadows are just right, and I hope the viewer feels those fleeting moments as well.”

Since transitioning from nursing to an art career, Linda has been juried into several painting competitions, earned many prestigious awards, been published in magazines, and has her work acquired by the St. George Museum of Art.

Fran Ellisor

Fran Ellisor is a nationally recognized artist with a classic and eloquent style. With a professional painting career spanning more than 30 years, her work has won numerous awards and has been featured in various art magazines.

Fran paints in her studio and gallery space in Conroe, TX. Working predominantly in oils, she is an accomplished figure and portrait painter, and is known for her intimate, elegant still lifes. Her style is a painterly realism; her strokes are confident yet spontaneous, and her colors are clean and fresh.

“Painting is the way I communicate and express how I feel about the world around me,” Fran explains. “I want the viewer to share this emotional response to the subject. Painting from life captures the light and feel of a specific location or setting. Interpreting the world in a way that will inspire others and create a sense of harmony in their lives are my goals, as well as my reward,” she says. “My brushes and paints are the tools through which I speak. Each day I paint fills me with great pleasure and joy and makes me look forward to the next day, so that I can paint again.”
