Song Swap Sundays

Every first Sunday of the month, ARTS presents Song Swap Sundays, a musical gathering where musicians take turns playing songs, answering questions, and share the stories behind the melodies. Song Swap Sundays are free to attend and are held at the ARTS Ross Gallery from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Meet Our Host

Meet our host, Mike Stroup, a seasoned acoustic guitarist and vocalist with a rich musical journey. He first started in bluegrass, during which he hosted a radio show at KPFT in Houston. "I heard a western swing band, then moved into western swing style and started the Wild River Band," Mike explains. He is active in swing, western, bluegrass, country, and Americana genres, currently playing solos, duos, and some full band shows.
